Welcome, planeswalkers, to We Know Video Games’ third MTG League!
We wish to invite you to join us for the Dominaria League! This League is designed to help new players get into the game of Magic: The Gathering as well as enable experienced players to build up their collection and see who the true rulers of Dominaria are.
This League will take place from May 6th to May 27th, and if you are new to MTG Leagues here is the run-down:
A League is a four week long event that lets you create a deck out of boosters from the new MTG set, Dominaria. After you register, you will receive three packs of Dominaria cards (up to a total of six packs by the end of the League) and try to build a 30-card deck with them.
During each each following Sunday, however, you will find an extra pack added to your poll of cards to try and improve your deck! Upon entering the third week you will have to rebuild your deck to contain a minimum of 40 cards.
You may come in and play anytime during these four weeks, and this event is not exclusive to Sundays during this time -- this is just the day you will find the packs added to your playable card pool.
Never lucky? No worries! Through weeks 1-4, you may buy a single booster to add to your deck’s power! After your deck receives every third loss, you may also add cards from another additional booster to try and maximize its potential!
(Please be aware that these optional packs are not covered by the $20.00 entry fee and you will be required to purchase them as normal.)
Due to the tournament format, you must leave your Deckbox and League Deck with WKVG staff once you are done playing. They will be yours to take home again after the final week of the League.
May 6th - Week One, three packs total (30 Card Deck)
May 13th - Week Two, +1 pack (30 Card Deck)
May 20th - Week Three, +1 pack (40 Card Deck)
May 27th - Week Four, +1 pack (40 Card Deck)
June 1st - End of Dominaria League
Format: Sealed Round Robin
Note: You cannot play the same person twice in the same week!
The Friendliest Player, the player that displays the most sportsmanlike behavior during the tournament.
The Hardcore Gamer, the player that played the most games during the tournament.
The Victor, the player with the most winning games during the tournament.
