The William D. Weeks Memorial Library has received Children’s Literacy Foundation (CLiF) Revive Your Literacy Program. The grant challenged previous CLiF grant recipients to create programs that would promote literacy and reach a large number of children. The Weeks Memorial Library will be doing three separate programs. Thursday April 5 at 3:15 at the Weeks Memorial Library we will hold the first program, a K-2 Booktalk. Ronnie Zajac will present a booktalk on a variety of books appropriate for the age group. After the booktalk the children will be offered a snack and time to discuss the books that might interest them and each child will get to choose a FREE book to take home! We encourage parents of children in this age range to join us. The second program will be another booktalk for children in Grade 3-6 on Thursday April 12 at 3:15. They will also have a snack and a choose a free book to take home! Saturday April 14 at 10am the library will hold the last of the three events, a Saturday Morning Story Hour for children ages 3-5 with a special snack and FREE book to take home! For more information please contact Ronnie Zajac, youth services librarian, at 788-3352 or email: wml@ncia.net.
