Our annual dinner is back, with this year’s Nakba theme looking at generations in crisis.
May 15 will mark 70 years since the mass displacement of Palestinians from their land in 1948, who remain displaced in their millions up until today. Those that experienced the Nakba in 1948 have since witnessed up to four successive generations endure displacement, poverty and refugeehood.
We’re commemorating the Nakba, with keynote speaker Professor Karma Nabulsi-Will who will speak on the Palestinian narrative that is often overlooked. What the Nakba was and how it impacted Palestinians at the time and continued to impact Palestinians.
As well as this, we have Avi Shlaim, who will discuss the history of the Nakba and how it has often been mistold and what the Israel narrative has been and how it has impacted Palestinians. We have a great line up of performers which includes the talented Lowkey, AlNour and The Sand Artizt.
A great evening, not to be missed – purchase your tickets today.
