The retreat will take place at Well Wilderness Kids Therapeutic Nature Center, a 10-acre homestead in South Kansas City, that provides nature-based programs in an inclusive model for children of all ages & abilities. The Nature Team is composed of professionals specialized in child development, including Early Childhood Educators/Early Interventionists, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, & Music Therapists.
Our keynote speaker, Dr Tracy Daniel, Child Health Psychologist, will share how mindfulness & yoga have been scientifically proven to reduce anxiety, aggression & depression in young children. She will also provide us with practical ways to incorporate these practices into your teaching environment.
