Course #1: “Advances in Bone Science and How it Relates to Periodontal Treatment and the Dental Professional.” 6.0 CEUs
Course Description: Participants will have a better understanding of bone as living organism and its effect on dental tissues. Videos and case studies will be utilized to show a microscopic, radiographic and clinical perspective on bone and its components. Participants will be more equipped with the understanding and rationale of bone and the epithelial attachment and its correlation to infection, disease and re-growth. The participant will also understand how bone more so than any other organ can be changed in shape and size to suit numerus purposes such as facial reshaping in preparation for implant placement and reversing gingival recession.

Course #2: “Is This Going To Hurt? Overcoming Clinical Challenges in the Administration of Local Anesthesia” 3.0 CEUs
Course Description: This course will offer “pearls” that can be utilized for the administration of localanesthesia. Participants will become well versed on the selection of agents that will be most effective foreach individual patient. Case studies will be reviewed that focus on the adult patient with special needs, the cardiovascular patient, the pediatric patient, the pregnant/nursing mom, the patient with respiratorycomplications, and the fearful patients and difficult to anesthetize patients. Come prepared to leave with an arsenal of information that will equip you with the tools and information needed to ensure your patient is pain free during dental procedures.

Course #3: “Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse” 3.0 CEUs
**COURSE LIMITED TO THE FIRST 100!**
Course Description: This course will help you gain an understanding of your role as a mandated reporter in meeting your legal obligations in the area of child protection as per the Child Protective Services Law (CPSL). You will describe and apply current information on the CPSL, recognize elements and indicators of child abuse and neglect, and demonstrate reporting procedures.
NOTE: This course is through the PA Family Support Alliance (PFSA) which is an approved provider by PA State Board of Dentistry.
