For many years, SCOT has held an afternoon tea, with a wide assortment of tea fare and a variety of hot tea. In recent years, it's been a light three-course lunch: finger sandwiches, scones, and other sweets. This year, we will offer traditional Scottish items of a heavier nature at a later hour, the usual time for High Tea.
The fellowship hall of West Raleigh Presbyterian Church will once again be transformed into an inviting tea room. You'll find a beautiful buffet table laden with Scotch eggs, meat pies, and savory spreads. There will be the usual scones, shortbread, tarts, and seasonal fruit...and of course, bottomless pots of freshly-brewed tea!
The Tea Committee is in the early stages of planning the occasion. If you enjoy baking or decorating, you are most welcome to share your skills and ideas.
