The Dementia Experience is an intense, interactive training that uses sensory modifications and role playing activities to build empathy and understanding. Participants are asked to re-enact typical daily activities such as taking medications and preparing meals “while under the influence of dementia.”
Participants will also learn and practice communication techniques and caregiving tactics that preserve the dignity of those experiencing cognitive impairment.
2.5 CEU credits for available for Social Workers, Nurses, and Case Managers.
