Magee Marsh Wildlife Refuge, along Lake Erie in Ohio is one of the top migratory observation locations in the country. An amazing variety of migratory birds stop to rest and eat before a long, dangerous flight over the Great Lakes on their way North.
2018 weather has been erratic, but we’ll hope for Spring temperatures.
We are planning a full day at the Refuge on Saturday May 12th. We will leave Murrysville on Friday May 11th at 4pm and drive to Freemont, Ohio, staying at the Quality Inn (3422 Port Clinton Rd, phone (419- 332-0601) directly off the Ohio Turnpike (19 miles from the Refuge), so that we can be at the marsh early. Make your reservations soon, as rooms book quickly for this event!
Post by May 9th to arrange carpooling and experience this bird extravaganza!
