Spend the afternoon at the family-owned Whistle Stop Farm and learn all you need to know about gardening from the best! Explore the garden, learn about design and how to choose plants, and plant some seeds. Take home seeds to start your very own garden.

Girl Scout badge earned: Junior Gardener (badge not included in registration).
Activity Requirements and Ratio
Girls must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or troop leader. Adults do not need to register for this activity.
If attending as a troop or group, the correct girl/adult ratio must be followed (ratios can be found in 2017/2018 Volunteer Essentials on page 61). Your group must have at least two unrelated, approved adult volunteers present at all times. To be an approved volunteer you are required to have a current Girl Scout membership and have an eligible background check to attend. At least one of the approved adult volunteers will be required to complete the trainings listed below.
Volunteer trainings required for all safety ratio adults (GS101; Troop Safety and VE Modules or Volunteer Essentials in Action; Grade-Level Training). At least one of the approved adult volunteers will be required to have completed: Day Trips.
Adults bringing their own Girl Scout to the event are not required to have a current Girl Scout membership to register for the activity or have completed a background check, but are not allowed to serve as an adult in girl/adult ratios, and may not supervise other girls.
Parking is available for free in the parking lot.

GSOSW reserves the right to cancel an event due to low enrollment or other circumstances which would make the event non-viable. If GSOSW cancels an event, registrants will be notified and offered a full refund.
