Every chance we get we are celebrating our 90th Anniversary here at White Point Beach Resort and this weekend it’s Earth Day. Honoured to share our incredible perch along the edge of the ocean beneath the vast sky with you, we hope you’ll join us as we celebrate Earth Day.
Join our special guest and interpreter, Paul LaLonde as he invites you to get grounded in cobblestone on his Rock along the Shoreline Walk at 4:30pm. After dark, join him again at 8pm as head outside to Discover the Dark Sky. Paul is an interpreter at Kejimkujik National Park and National Historic Site of Canada and offers guided hikes along the French Shore too, he’s our ‘go to’ guide and you’re going to love exploring Earth Day with him!

Of course there will be kids programs all weekend, and in the Lounge we’ll welcome Travis Hatcher to the stage at 8pm both Friday and Saturday night!
*Pack your clubs too – the Golf Course is scheduled to open April 14th, you can get a round or two in as well this weekend.

Earth Day Tours:
4:30pm: Rock along the Shoreline
For the amateur geologist or those of you who just love the cobblestone and outcrops of rock along our shoreline, this is for you!
That rock you just picked up from the beach has an ancient story to tell! Paul will help you read these stories of the land amidst the rolling terrain White Point’s beach.
Approximately 1 hr, wear walking shoes!

8pm: Discover the Dark Sky
Don’t be afraid the the dark – embrace it and look up!
If you have never walked on a beach in the dark, you are missing something out of this world! Discover White Point’s beach in a new way! After dark we will head out along her shoreline, listen to the voice of the sea and gaze out over her limitless horizon as the stars come out. Come meet the Big Dipper and Orion and so many of their friends ‘hanging out’ along the Milky Way.
Approximately 1 hr, dress warmly and wear walking shoes!

Earth Day events are complimentary with you overnight stay.
Or if you live in the area and want to join us, grab a Day Pass or Membership – enjoy White Point by day, and sleep in your own bed!
