Tree Culture – Wild-Crafting in the TJRVRP - Week 12

Treatment – Manually sculpt out the forest by balancing the existing trees and using all excess material to build the forest floor (duff layer).

Post treatment – Tree culture will use the data gathered during this workshop, and continue observation through January 2019.

Required attire – Closed toed shoes (boots preferred), Long pants, eye protection, garden gloves (leather preferred). Some loanar items will be available.

Tools – All required tools will be provided by Tree Culture.

Limitations – No tree climbing.

Accommodations – Parking, restrooms, potable water and shade structure are provided at Wild Willow Educational Farm.

RISK: This workshop is free and at you own risk. Safety risks – Uneven terrain, insects, snakes, sharp edges, contact with vegetation, dusts and debris.

Risk Mitigation – Follow Tree Culture directions and ask if you have questions. Work at a slow and deliberate pace. Be fully alert and in good physical health. Report any injury to Tree culture immediately, self administered first aid will be available onsite.
