Conservatorship is an important step for many families of a child with special needs transitioning into adulthood. In order to maintain the legal rights to make important decisions such as your child’s residence, medical treatment and education after age 18, you must be appointed conservator by a judge. This workshop will provide an overview of what conservatorship entails and the steps necessary for being appointed a conservator through the local courts.

*What is conservatorship and when is it necessary?
*What are your rights as the parent of an adult with disabilities?
*How do you establish a conservatorship through the local court?

Whether you plan to go through the process on your own or hire an attorney, this workshop will provide information you need to have.
