If you’re interested in venturing away from a traditional meat-and-potatoes diet (even for one or two meals a week) but aren’t sure what the heck else to eat, this class is for you. We’ll cook up a filling, delicious meal that your doctor would approve of — and so will your taste buds. The menu will include creamy mac and cheese (with a secret nutty ingredient) along with juicy, marinated portobellos and a rich Burgundy beet stew, plus a couple of seasonal vegetable sides. We’ll finish the night with a rich chocolate mousse! You’ll go home full — and with all the recipes in hand.
Cost is $50 per person and includes samples of the recipes, the packet with all the recipes and wine tastings with recipes.

About the Chef:
Stepfanie Romine is a health coach and cookbook author who lives in Flat Rock. A “health nut” who’s also a foodie, Stepfanie is passionate about plants, and she spent six years as editorial director of a healthy recipes website then worked in the herbal supplements industry. She co-wrote The SparkPeople Cookbook and The No Meat Athlete Cookbook, and she’s currently writing a cookbook on medicinal mushrooms!
A yoga teacher at YAM, Stepfanie is excited to share her love of healthy and delicious food with the Wine Sage community. Stepfanie loves wine and has lived and cooked on three continents. Her cooking is influenced by the time she spent in France, Italy and Korea.
