“Six Years with the UCC in Zimbabwe: A New Model for Global Ministry”

Social Time and Luncheon at Noon in Tolman Hall

You won’t want to miss April’s very special presentation by Pastor Jeffrey Phillips titled “Six Years with the UCC in Zimbabwe: A New Model for Global Ministry.” Jeffrey was in Zimbabwe from 1988 to 1994. He will talk about how this experience showed him the importance of partnership, and how relationships of trust and
affection between the church here and the church there developed as a result of a deep knowledge of and respect for each other's cultures. He'll also show pictures and share some songs — in Shona (the language of the Bantu people of Zimbabwe).

All women of WCC are members of the Women’s Society. The Woman’s Society monthly luncheon and program is an ideal way to get to know other women in our church, and men are welcome, too, and encouraged to attend both the lecture and the luncheon. Guests are welcome. Please make luncheon reservations by Monday, April 2, by calling Lois-Eve Anderson at 847-272- 7107. Luncheon cost is $15. Also, if you need to cancel a luncheon reservation for any reason, let Lois-Eve know by Monday afternoon at the latest so we can have an accurate count for our caterer.
