Whales - "Electronic meets rock. Whales are a power trio of young boys who hit the dance floors with a rock and punk attitude. In 2016, Whales ( ex collegues of Surma on her first band) debuts "Big Pulse Waves" and were named as one of the new big talents in Portugal. From a dark basement to the NOS Alive Festival, they have been doing a remarkable route despite their tender ages. Whales have just released their second and third singles, “How Long” and “Ghost”, produced by Casota Collective ( from First Breath After Coma’s members), which come to reinforce what they have achieved so far. Their first record full with new material will be released on March and it will be player, for the first time, on a european tour in March and April"
Fugly - Two years after their first release, Morning After EP, and going through a lot of blood, sweat and tears, the Portuguese band FUGLY are still searching for caos and the frenetic eccentricity of noise and garage, and a cure for hangovers with the new Millennial Shit, an album just released in January 2018 by their indie label O Cão da Garagem.
The theme? Millennials. Generation Y, the ones born from the mid 80’s to the end of the 90’s (roughly speaking). They’re the voice for precarious employment, endless internships, political abstinence, animal rights, vegetarianism, laziness, boredom, smartphones, lack of emotion and social skills, early stages of depression and drug dependency, hormonal control and forced capitalism.
