JMN Camp is a 6-week nature discovery camp that will explore the wonderful world of trees! From exploring the different types of forests we find in Michigan, to taking a closer look the TREE life cycle and their adaptations for surviving in different habitats. Each week campers will explore a different aspect of the wide world of TREES and discover why they are truly a TREE-mendous part of our earth!
Our camp leaders will guide students towards an awareness and appreciation of our natural world, using hands on activities, incorporating citizen science tools, developing team building and stewardship concepts, and encouraging growth in observation and outdoor skills. Campers will work collecting and pressing leaves for a high quality leaf collection book as part of the TREE-mendous Trees program.
