Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm is one of the rare gems of the PNW each spring. Within sight of majestic Mt. Hood on a clear day, and bursting with color, the acres vibrant blooms all aligned in perfect rows provide a photographic opportunity not to be equaled!
Join Jake (Jake Egbert Photography) and Tim Reed (REEDFilms Photography) for a truly unique photography experience out in the blooms! We'll have access to the field at hours not normally available to photographers. We'll be starting well before sunset then shooting through golden hour, sunset, and into blue-hour. Weather permitting the die-hards will have the option to stay very late to shoot the Milky Way! (Yes, there's light pollution, but on a clear night the Milky Way is clearly visible over the rows of tulips!) For those interested, we'll play around with some light painting techniques, and then spend some time in the classroom looking at basic workflow and editing techniques.
We'll tailor the experience to the skill level of each participant with plenty of one-on-one interaction as we work on basic camera techniques, composition, and exposure.
Don't miss this Bombdiggity opportunity out amidst the Blooms! (Yeah, it's a silly name, but you should try coming up with a tulip workshop name that doesn't include the word tiptoe in it!)
We'll shoot under clear skies or gray skies... But if it is REALLY bad weather (i.e., vendor tents blowing across the fields) we'll work to set up an alternate day.
Farm admission is not yet included in the fee, but we're working on arranging a discount for those that don't have season passes or a ride in with a season pass holder.
