Neill will be teaching you how to identify plants in your own gardens and beyond, from their flowers through to their shoots, seedheads and stem structure. You’ll also learn the to identify the most common weeds in this country as well as trees, shrubs, bulbs and herbaceous plants. An essential day for the novice gardener and often the experienced one too! The afternoon will delve into the fascinating world of plant naming, why do we use botanical Latin, what does it mean and where does it come from. Learn why Carl Linnaeus created it and how important it is in modern day horticulture
