Learning and Leading Through Language: Insights of a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer by Miles Roman

Miles is a young professional and current Master in Public Policy candidate at the Harvard Kennedy School. A graduate of the University of Connecticut with a BA in Political Science and Spanish, Miles has dedicated himself to working with diverse populations, both domestically and abroad. This includes experience at the U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants, connecting unaccompanied immigrant children to legal services, and Rising Tide Capital, a non-profit that supports low-income entrepreneurs by providing business training. Most recently, Miles served as a community health volunteer with the Peace Corps in Mozambique between 2015 and 2017.
