This event will give us a chance to showcase women in the Black Panther Movement and the importance of the representation of Black women as it pertains to the Black Panther Film.


It will also give us a chance to celebrate Janco Books' existence and another reason to dress up!

We firmly believe that Black History should not be confined to just February.

Event Agenda:

5-5:30 pm Peruse the book store. Meet and greet the owner

5:30 - 6 pm Claytee will provide history regarding the Black Panther Party and women's role in the movement. Then Vogue will provide observations about women's roles in the Black Panther film.

6-6:45 Claytee and Vogue will posit the question to the audience, why are diversified women's roles important in film and political movements?

6:45 - 7 pm break

7-8 pm Open Mic
