Chicava HoneyChild and WoW Cafe Theater are honored to welcome revolutionary womanist scholar Max Dashu for a weekend of events:
Friday April 20th, 2018
Drink in a global view of women's communal dance, from ancient paintings, rock art, sculpture and murals, to modern photos of dancers. Then ourselves dance the sacred Round.
Saturday April 21st, 2018
We will pass through visual portals of invocation, ceremony, transformance, and healing, as shown in ancient art and living traditions around the world. Speak in circle on healing the female, releasing cultural spells of domination, on our spiritual approaches and experiences. And dance the sacred Round.
Contributions above ticket price will benefit The Suppressed History Archives see Max's funding page for more details.
Max Dashu founded the Suppressed Histories Archives in 1970 to research women's history internationally and understand how systems of domination established and perpetuate themselves. She has built a collection of some 15,000 slides and 100 shows. See the Presentations pages for descriptions of the Suppressed Histories Series.
