Looking for a place to escape the relentless swarm of fame chasing house and techno DJ’s?

We might be throwing a party of interest for you and your indie-rock loving friends this Friday when we highlight the best from Arctic Monkeys and The Killers!

We call them the kings because right now they simply are; when you're fifth album is as good as AM... Where do you stand on the band who's won both Best British Group and Best British Album three times, won a Mercury Prize, been nominated for three Grammy Awards and headlined Glastonbury Festival twice!? Let's put things into perspective, after being discovered on Myspace they've released the singles "I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor", "When the Sun Goes Down", "Leave Before the Lights Come On", "Brainstorm", "Fluorescent Adolescent", ""Teddy Picker", had a foray into peyote country and recorded with Josh Homme to find themselves and "Crying Lighting", then coming back with "Don't Sit Down coz I've Moved Your Chair”. And then yep the ridiculous "R U Mine?" and "Do I Wanna Know" and "Why'd Only Call Me When You're High" that have just monstered indie-dance floors everywhere!

In the other corner we've lined up Las Vegas finest The Killers (named after that fictitional band in that New Order comeback video) for this dance floor battle. The first band to fire Brandon Flowers as its frontman has probably kicked themselves a fair bit after watching him pick up the pieces? Should we just say Mr. Brightside isn't the worst single a band can launch their career with! Zane Lowe clearly agreed at the time with that sentiment. That debut LP Hot Fuss kicked down the door with singles like "Somebody Told Me"and "All These Things That I've Done" that have been dance floor staples ever since release! If anybody you know ever wondered how these guys could have sold over 20 million records by their fourth album, politely play them sophomore effort Sam’s Town. "When You Were Young" sounds so good through our Public Bar sound system... The corker singles from the 2017 release Wonderful Wonderful in “The Man” and “Run for Cover” have had an absolute work out on the YY’s dance floor; this writing amazing tunes!

Come and show everyone how you look on the dance floor at Yah Yah's this Friday night, etc. Our DJ’s will be smashing out the best from both bands, along with all your fav’ indie bangerz!
