Join us for a day of practical activities designed to inspire the next generation and involve the local community in looking after the local environment. We’re undertaking a local riverside litter pick followed by an afternoon of green activities at our Yorkie Café and Bar. We'll be recycling materials to make mini-catapults, candle holders, makes and shields, plus fun and games in the hostel grounds.
The evening’s invite extends beyond the day’s volunteers to staying guests and local community. We’ll be switching off all non-essential electricity during these intimate acoustic sessions, and welcome all to enjoy, support and reflect on what promises to be a very special night.
A raw and talented vocalist, not to mention the talent he has for writing songs, Tom Van Wren Music makes you feel every word he sings. A local lad who's been performing at every opportunity; a regular at Beverley Folk Festival and acoustic nights throughout Hull. His endearing modesty means his powerful voice packs that extra punch.
Please note, gloves are needed, but litter picking sticks and refuse sacks provided. For more information tel: 01904 653147
