Often regarded as "yogic sleep," this guided meditation is the practice of conscious-subconsciousness, where the meditator is so relaxed and focused that they are put into a dream-like state. The stages of yoga nidra are (1) entry, (2) intention/sankalpa, (3) body scan, (4) breath and energy awareness, (5) sense perception, (6) images, (7) visualization and journey, (8) repeat intention/sankalpa, (8) return.
In this workshop, we will practice yoga nidra and talk as we practice. Yoga nidra will leave you feeling rested and relaxed. Please wear comfortable clothing (yoga clothes, or even pajamas), bring a yoga mat to lay on, perhaps a small blanket for warmth, and an eye pillow if you have one (we have them for purchase at the studio for $12.50).
