Depression is one of the defining emotional challenges of our time. As humans continue to face personal, professional, and global challenges that compromise self-care and wellbeing, the number of those facing serious depressive disorders and varying states of unhappiness rises. While the medical approaches to treatment vary, studies continue to show that personal yoga and meditation practices can significantly improve quality of life, especially amidst depression and anxiety.
In this therapeutic yoga workshop, we will explore holistic ways of understanding depression and its underlying causes through the yogic lens of wellbeing, coming out with practical techniques to not only manage it in daily life, but deepen the spiritual process and self-inquiry that work towards knowing ourselves at the source.
