Yoga for Tight Hips & Hamstrings Part II
Focus: Strengthening Hips, Hamstrings, and Low Back

Do you suffer from chronically tight hips, hamstrings, and lower back? Do you notice imbalances in strength in standing and balancing poses? Participation in sports, sitting for prolonged periods at a desk, or just having an active lifestyle can create disparity in our muscle function. In this follow-up 90-minute workshop, we will review key stretches for the five muscle groups associated with the hips and we will focus on strengthening those muscle groups with yoga.
Attendance of the first workshop that focused on flexibility is not a prerequisite. This is an all levels class for any individual looking for more freedom of movement and comfort in sports and everyday activities. Learn to pin-point where you are tight and weak in your hips, hamstrings, and low-back, and then learn how to strengthen those areas. Time will also be spent discussing techniques for safely improving flexibility and strength within your yoga practice.
