This class is open to anyone dealing with addictive behaviors or those affected by the addictive behaviors of others. Therefore, it is open to anyone. We all face addictions as ways to escape pain or negative emotions such as fear, worry, and anxiety. Whether we use food, sugar, shopping, work, television, computers, love, or other substances, Y12SR Yoga brings together the practical tools of 12-Step programs. Through the wisdom of yoga, we learn how to stay present and balanced while working through negative emotions and cravings, ultimately enhancing our physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.
These gatherings will include a period of teaching, followed by an open and anonymous 12-Step discussion, and finally, we will take it to the mat for our yoga practice, including a longer meditation in Savasana.
