During the workshop, we will practice a series of floor postures, each held 3 to 5 minutes. Deep breathing and meditation will be incorporated into this practice.
While this form of yoga is more passive, it can also be quite challenging. This style of yoga focuses on the connective tissues, stimulating the energy meridians throughout the body. This form of yoga complements the more muscular, dynamic forms of yoga such as vinyasa. All levels are welcome and postures can be modified based on your experience or physical condition.
James began practicing yoga in 1997. He has traveled to India for months of yoga studies with V. Venkatesha and studied for years with Suddha Weixler. His teachings have been highly influenced by yin masters, Paul Grilley and Sarah Powers.
