Have you always wanted to learn and explore arm balances but just not had the time you needed in a normal yoga class?

Then this workshop series is just for you! You will have plenty of time to focus on your needs, questions and make use of the great mix yoga has to offer: strength, flexibility, balance, concentration and breath.

Thursday 26th April – Crocodile (Chaturanga)
We will warm up with a vinyasa flow sequence and then work on arm and shoulder strength to support your yoga practice and prepare for your first steps into arm balances. Using blocks and straps you will learn how to hold yourself in a perfect chaturanga (low plank) and achieve alignment. Mechanics of the body and techniques will be explained. We will finally stretch out and deeply relax. This workshop will bring your yoga practice to the next level.

Thursday 3rd May – Crow (Bakasana)
This workshop will show you the first steps into crow/bakasana. We will start off with a vinyasa flow to warm up and then explore Mula Bandha the Root Lock. You will learn how to create a subtle lifting and toning of the pelvic floor muscles to encourage and create a sense of lightness in your body. To finish we will stretch out and deeply relax.

Thursday 10th May – Side Crow (Parshva Bakasana)
This workshop will show you the different variations of side crow/parshva bakasana. We will start off with some vinyasa flow to warm up and bring special awareness to the arms, hands and wrists. You will learn how to use your hands on the mat to support your arm balances and learn tips to stay injury free in your yoga practice.

Thursday 17th May – Headstand & Transition From Crow to Headstand (Sirsasana & Bakasana to Sirsasana)
This workshop will teach you how to get upside down into a headstand/sirsasana in a safe way. We will start off with a warming vinyasa flow sequence to bring special awareness to the muscles between the shoulder blades that will support you in your headstand. We will explore different variations of headstand, like tripod headstand, straddle headstand and then a transition from crow to headstand.

Cost: Book ALL 4 workshops: £60/£52 pre-booking is advised OR to attend Individual Workshops you can drop in and pay £18/£15 online or pay on the day | Maximum 15 students.

Please note: These workshops are not for complete beginners to yoga. Suitable for anyone who has some yoga experience and wants to learn, challenge themselves and have some fun on the mat.
