Building Resiliency with Inversions
In LIFE, things don’t always go the way that we plan. In YOGA, we play with the infinite possibilities life offers us in order to shift our perspective in such a way that we can see the GOOD, even in those things that seem to turn our world on its head.
Inversions are the poses that are especially awesome for helping us see the upside. What are inversions? Downward Facing Dog, Handstand, Shoulderstand and YES! Headstand!
In this workshop you will learn to skillfully engage in such a way that supports your process for expansion. Expect a progressive successive sequence of postures, allowing you access to your next step.
Note: Inversions are contraindicated for those with glaucoma, pregnancy after the first trimester, hypertension or cardiac disease.
Michael Fergot was introduced to Yoga in 1984 and still marvels at how this practice presents us with the endless possibility to deepen our experience and to grow our understanding. As a YA E-RYT-500 hour teacher with more than 12,000 hours of teaching experience, and three times that much time in study and practice, Michael loves to share the practices of Yoga on every level.
Michael has studied various approaches at different stages, and considers the lineage of Iyengar and Anusara his primary influences for the approaches to asana. He has been studying with Paul Muller Ortega, and Blue Throat Yoga since 2012. Michael is currently participating in an Ashaya Yoga Teacher Training led by Todd Norian in Essex, N.Y.
