Have you wanted to start teaching a prenatal yoga class of your own, develop skills to continue teaching to your students who have become pregnant, modify poses for new students in your class that are pregnant, or become a sub for prenatal yoga( which is always in high demand)?
This class will include common complaints of pregnancy, asanas that are contraindicated during pregnancy and asanas that are helpful for common physical discomforts. You will learn how to sequence so that a pelvis of any kind will feel more open and strengthened when leaving class. The anatomy of the pelvis will be covered and the changes that occur during pregnancy. This class will include an observation of a prenatal yoga class taught by, Tanya Woods. You will be expected to to teach a class to the other students in the class and participate in taking yoga classes taught by the other students. You will gain knowledge on how to be sensitive to a pregnant student emotionally and physically, while meeting the needs of the entire class.
