AUTUMN YIN DEEP STILLNESS PRACTICE

Autumn well and truly seems to have arrived at last, the leaves on the trees are beginning to turn and drop, and there seems to be an innate desire in all of us, human, plant, and animal, to slow down and draw in as much of these final days of gentle warmth as possible before the colder weather really arrives.
To support this transition from the heat and outward movement of summer to the quieter, more inward focus of winter that is around the corner, I will be offering an AUTUMN YIN DEEP STILLNESS practice on Sunday May 6th where we will look at ways we can nurture our bodies, minds and hearts at this time of year, focusing on the Lungs and Large Intestines, the organ networks and their respective meridian lines that are associated with the Autumn season. A mixture of Meditation, Pranayama, Nada Yoga, Yin Asana and Yoga Nidra, this extended practice will take us deep into the various Koshas(layers) of the body, helping to prepare us for the journey into the cooler, darker months ahead by ensuring that our entire system, physical, emotional and mental, is as healthy, nurtured, and balanced as possible.
