Yoga ShredTM is a perfect complement to your existing yoga or wellness-based classes; it’s the best of HIIT based on yoga alignment and western anatomy knowledge.
Adding High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) and blending Yoga Mindfulness works better than many of the other HIIT-based exercises out there as it brings a holistic fitness and strength practice to your movement disciplines.
HIIT is where you do short, super-intense bursts of movement with a very high heart rate. Yoga ShredTM is LOW IMPACT yoga, targeting fast twitch muscles and getting your heart rate up - you are strengthening muscles, adding density to the bones, and increasing the metabolic rate.
Yoga ShredsTM are done in Tabata timing, 20 seconds of activity/10 seconds rest for Four Minutes - 8 rounds total. Three rounds of Four Minutes HIIT (12 minutes each workout) with rest and recovery in between sets. It’s effective, fierce, fun, and empowering!
Class is 60 minutes long, 25 minutes Yoga ShredTM - Inspired flow, 25 minutes of Mat work, 5 minutes of Savasana – and up to 48 hours of Afterburn Metabolic Effect (a rise the metabolism by up to 15% - calories and fat burn - that lasts from 12 – 48 hours after the workout).
This Yoga is All levels, and modifications are offered. The student can and should control: pace, intensity, heart rate, how many rounds they choose to do.
