with Nicolle Casey and Victoria Randall

Mala beads have become very fashionable in the recent years as jewelry and as an icon for spiritual pursuits. But what is the real purpose and how can we use them to deepen our spiritual practice? In this workshop we will discuss the use of Mala/prayer beads throughout history and the purpose of the garlands 108 bead structure. We will learn and practice techniques for using Mala beads to deepen our meditation practice, and invite an awareness of the subtle energies moving in our body through the use of Mudras. We will demonstrate the art, technique and mindful practice of constructing a Mala bead bracelet and everyone will have the opportunity to create their own.

Cost: $45 (includes bracelet materials)
Preregistration required.
