Ayurveda is the ancient sister science to yoga. Ayurveda not only utilizes a wide variety of ritual and healing modalities for obtaining wellness and balance in our beings; it looks to connect us to the root of our suffering, to pull it out. Rachel May is an Ayurvedic counselor, an ED survivor, and is sober. She works often with those In the mental illness and addictions communities; and she is working toward her PhD In Ayurveda for this very reason. In this workshop, we will discuss how Ayurveda understands Eating disorders and addiction; methods of support and rejuvenation to aid in recovery from both; and how to continue to stay receptive and healthy in this often challenging world.
