Bend & Breathe is a free (pay-what-you-can) weekly yoga class presented by Young Ideas at Gordon Neighbourhood House. Join us every Tuesday from 6:30-8:00pm.
The class is hosted by our wonderful instructor Albert, who received training from Karma teachers. His Vinyasa classes are focused on mindful breathing, and are designed to be accessible for all ages. While the class is geared toward beginner and intermediate students, everyone is welcome to join.
Young Ideas is a group of neighbours and volunteers who coordinate events, activities, workshops, and learning opportunities for people in their 20s, 30s (and older!) who live, work, and spend time in Vancouver’s West End. These initiatives are kept free or low cost, and are intended to bring people together, and encourage community living. Join us at one of our events to learn new skills, have some fun, and meet new friends in the neighbourhood! Email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Attendees are encouraged to purchase a Gordon Neighbourhood House membership ($5 for a whole year!), however you are welcome to try the class once before signing up. Don't forget to bring your own yoga mat. On average, you can expect up to 10 participants at each class.
We acknowledge that our community is on the unceded, occupied, ancestral and traditional lands of the Swxwú7mesh (Squamish), Xmkwym (Musqueam), and Slílwta (Tsleil-Waututh) nations.
