Area thrill seekers and those looking to face their fears will have another chance to rappel down one of Grand Island’s highest buildings.
Partnering with Over The Edge Global, YWCA Grand Island will host “Go Over The Edge with YWCA” on Saturday, Aug. 4, 2018 for the fundraiser’s second year.
Participants will rappel off of Tower 217, a seven-story building downtown, to raise funds and awareness for the YWCA’s cause. Individuals must raise $1,000 for their cause in order to secure their rappelling position. Last year, 28 people went “Over The Edge.” This year’s goal is 60 edgers.
Teams can also be entered and creatively fundraise together.
This year’s event will add another layer of fun for spectators by adding family-friendly activities on the street.
