The Economic Empowerment Program (EEP) is a unique, gender responsive career development program preparing folks who identify as women and/or gender non-conforming for careers in administration or human services. The program promotes empowerment, healing and community care.
EEP is a free individualized program, lasting 10 weeks to 6 months and includes classroom and on-the-job training Monday through Thursday from 10am to 4pm. Together we will create space for healing through community care and storytelling. What makes EEP unique? The work is informed by YWCA’s commitment to Social Justice.
Classroom sessions include training in computer skills in the Comcast Learning Lab, financial literacy workshops, communication skill-building and practice as well as resume/interviewing, and personal growth and healing. However, EEP goes outside the classroom with work-based training in project management, office administration, data entry and database, QuickBooks and customer services.
