Learn Skills To Prevent Your Dog Being Reactive
You are out on a walk with your dog, enjoying the beautiful day and then, your dog went from calm to out of control. Why? Reacting at the sight, sound, or both of another dog. Sometimes it is just the mere sight of another dog. Other times it is the other dog that is creating your dog to become reactive. During this 5-week course training, you gain skills not only to put your dog back in a calm state, as well as identify body language before the reaction happens.
This class is for dogs that cannot function in a normal group class. We use visual barriers when necessary to reduce stimulation. We focus on counter conditioning the negative associations that cause the aggression. Depending on the dog we may muzzle condition. We focus on increasing mental and physical exercise to develop a calmer state of mind. We also use our stable passive dogs to help the reactive dogs learn how to trust and behave in a more socially acceptable manner.
