The Eastside Legal Assistance Program (ELAP) provides high-quality, no-cost civil legal aid to low-income residents of East King County, Washington. We also provide legal aid to survivors of domestic violence throughout all of King County.
Eastside Legal Assistance Program (ELAP) is a non-profit organization dedicated to making the legal system more accessible to those most in need by providing free, high quality, civil legal services to low-income residents of East King County, and domestic violence legal aid to residents throughout King County.
Since 1989 ELAP has been the provider of volunteer pro bono (no cost) legal services in East King County, working with over 250 volunteer attorneys. We now have four full time staff attorneys providing immediate legal services for low-income King County residents.
In conjunction with the King County Prosecutor’s Office and “Project Safety” we provide legal navigation for victims of crime at the Seattle King County courthouse and the Maleng Regional Justice Center in Kent.
