|About||We are a non-profit society supporting cycling in Edmonton. Learn how to fix your bike and ride in traffic. Buy a refurbished bike, or donate a disused one. Meet other cyclists, and help us advocate for a bike-friendly city.|
Whether you ride a few times a week, 265 bike-friendly days a year, or year-round, the Edmonton Bicycle Commuters’ Society (EBC) gives you the tools you need to enjoy cycling. Established as a non-profit society in 1980, EBC operates two volunteer-run community bike workshops, provides training for children and adults, hosts events during Bike Month and all year-round, and represents Edmonton cyclists at City Hall.
We operate two volunteer-run community bike workshops called BikeWorks North and BikeWorks South. You can donate your bike, buy a second-hand bike, rent a bike, or fix your bike at BikeWorks. Volunteer mechanics help you learn how to fix your bike, even if you have no mechanical experience.
We also run learn-to-ride courses, CANBIKE on-road riding courses, mechanical courses, bike art workshops, put on events throughout the year, and support community groups by providing cycling information and tune-ups.
We advocate on behalf of all Edmonton cyclists, whether you ride a few times a season, 265 fair-weather days a year, or year-round. We want to see more and better cycling infrastructure so that all Edmontonians can ride easily, safely and efficiently.
