Dr. Kimberly Eickmeier was born and raised in Central, Illinois. She began her education at William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine and completed her residency at Botsford General Hospital in Farmington Hills, Michigan. She advanced her training further with a Fellowship in Geneva, Switzerland. Dr. Eickmeier has since been treating patients in the Champaign and surrounding areas for over 20 years.
Her clientele ranges from infants to seniors in the specialization of the foot and ankle. Dr. Eickmeier is double board certified in Foot & Ankle Surgery and Wound Care.
Fall Prevention Center of Excellence:
This prevention center includes evaluation for those at risk of falling which may contribute to fractures and sprains throughout the body. Results of falls may lead to dependence on assisted care at home or in a facility.
Get to know Dr. Eickmeier:
Since childhood, Dr. Eickmeier knew that she wanted to be in the healthcare field. She first developed her passion for podiatry while working as an assistant for a Podiatrist while attending the Illinois State University. She’s appreciative of the fact that she’s trained to see infants to seniors and be able to specialize in diabetic foot care and the prevention of amputations.
Genealogy is a self interest while not seeing patients. She specifically enjoys researching her own family tree and has discovered that many of her ancestors have served our country.
She has been married for 29 years to her husband Kerry, and has two college age children, Kassandra and Kolten. They enjoy traveling domestically and internationally and have been to many countries including Italy, Germany, Austria, France, The Dominican Republic and Mexico.
Dr. Eickmeier is a member of The Daughters of the American Revolution and has been in several professional leadership roles. She supports her local community by volunteering and offering her services in support of several organizations.
