|About||Youth sports member programs including basketball, tackle football, and flag football for boys and girls in the Elkhorn and surrounding communities.|
The Elkhorn Youth Sports Association (EYSA) was developed to provide opportunities for youth throughout the local area and community through sports, education and extra-curricular activities. The focus of the program is to allow student-athletes to participate on youth sports teams, regardless of financial means, so that all children are provided an opportunity to develop life skills including; leadership, teamwork, sacrifice, communication, dedication, acceptance, and discipline.
EYSA Member Programs allow for opportunities that include a place for everyone to participate and succeed. Our Member Programs, encompassing boys and girls basketball, as well as youth tackle and flag football, offer programs, teams and games that give all individuals the opportunity to develop those important life skills.
Our Member Programs provide the most cost-effective means for everyone to participate, with an emphasis on low cost, high-quality programs. A student-athlete will never be turned away because their family cannot afford, or does not have the means, to pay.
Our participants will never be asked to solicit for funds on behalf of our Member Programs. All Member Programs are prohibited from soliciting for sponsorships or donations. Fundraising, sponsorship and grant opportunities will be the sole responsibility of the EYSA.
The focus of the EYSA, in additional to sports, educational and extra-curricular activities, is to provide annual scholarships to deserving high school graduates to further their education at the collegiate level. An annual scholarship fund has been established through the Elkhorn Public Schools Foundation to honor deserving high schools seniors for their athletic and more importantly, community service and academic achievements.
EYSA also works with Member Programs to offer facility opportunities for teams to be able to participate within their local community. Facility opportunities include practices, tournaments and championship events, as wel
