Environment for the Americas, home of International Migratory Bird Day (IMBD), is a non-profit organization working to increase awareness of birds and their conservation throughout the Western Hemisphere. We provide the framework and education materials for bird festivals and events, host a directory of bird education resources, offer bird workshops for educators, and motivate people of all ages to get outdoors to learn about birds. There are lots of ways to get involved in bird conservation, education, and birdwatching. Take a look!
International Migratory Bird Day, IMBD, is celebrated year-round to highlight migratory birds, bird conservation, and bird conservation education. IMBD is coordinated by Environment for the Americas, a non-profit organization that works to increase awareness of birds and their conservation throughout the Western Hemisphere.
International Migratory Bird Day is now celebrated at over 600 sites from Canada to Argentina. Parks, zoos, wildlife refuges, schools, museums, Audubon chapters, and many more host events. These events range from bird walks and presentations about birds to multi-day festivals. For more information, visit our website at www.migratorybirdday.org and www.birdday.org
