About Federal Fire Ventura County is a full service organization comprised of 70 personnel that provide Structural Fire Protection, ARFF, EMS & Fire Prevention services for the three sites that comprise Ventura County.

Mission To minimize the loss of life, property and damage to the environment on all military property, military installations, and surrounding communities caused by fire, medical emergencies, natural disasters and acts of terrorism and to provide excellent services to support the diverse needs of the Fleet, Fighter & Family in Ventura County.
Description Federal Fire Ventura County also provides mutual aid/automatic aid firefighting assistance when requested to the surrounding communities to include Ventura County, Ventura City, Oxnard City, Port Hueneme, Santa Paula, and Fillmore.

General Information:

Station 71 – ARFF/Multi-Role House:
Operating two Oshkosh T-1500 Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighting (ARFF) vehicles, an Oshkosh P-19 ARFF vehicle, a light rescue vehicle, a Type III wildland fire apparatus and an ambulance. The Oshkosh T-1500 is a 4X4 ARFF vehicle powered by Detroit Diesel 540HP Turbo V8 with an Allison 5 Speed Automatic Transmission; carries 1500 gallons of water and 195 gallons of foam. The Oshkosh P-19 is a 4X4 all-wheel drive ARFF vehicle powered by Detroit Diesel/Cummings 400HP Turbo V6 with an Allison 5 Speed Automatic Transmission; carries 1000 gallons of water and 130 gallons of foam. These vehicles with their personnel protect an array of aircraft, such as, the E-2C Hawkeye and the C-130T & J Hercules transport aircraft; operated by both.

Station 72 – Structural House:
Operating one Pierce Quint with a 75' stick (ladder), one Pierce Structural Pumper, Hazardous Materials response vehicle and an ambulance.

Station 73 – Structural House:
Operating one Pierce Quint with a 75' stick (ladder) and a reserve Structural Pumper manufactured by KME.

Station 74 & 75 – ARFF/Structural House: Station under renovations.
