I am a Certified Yoga Therapist, C-IAYT with over 650 hours of training and 950 hours of teaching. I am also registered with Yoga Alliance as an RYT-500 Yoga Teacher. I help students find their edge in yoga. This is the space where you avoid pushing too hard and yet move enough to promote a healthy progression. It is the space where you can be compassionate with yourself amidst limitations and challenges you may experience in your body. It is about giving yourself permission to nurture, release tension, soothe the aches and pains and move inward during savasana (relaxation).
Every student is important and I understand how awkward it can be to enter a new class and discover your challenges in front of people and a teacher you do not know. For this reason, I have developed a program to ease students into the class and get familiar with modifications that are best for their individual needs. I also offer a 6 week program to gain a better understanding of what is happening in the body, why it happens, what you can do to optimize your health and practice. I have found that this program builds confidence and helps individuals make good decisions so they can enjoy yoga.
