Welcome to Firehouse Yoga! It is our intention to offer the experience and joy of yoga to our friends, family, and community in an environment that fosters love, acceptance, and self-discovery. Yoga is for everyone! We have been practicing together for 6 years and became certified through the 200 hour multi-style Pink Lotus Yoga Teacher Training Program.
Whether you are a seasoned yogi or new to the practice, we invite you to experience all that yoga has to offer. Please see our MindBody website scheduler for our weekly classes. All classes are $10/class (unless otherwise noted) and can be paid online through MindBody with a credit card or with cash at class. Kids Yoga classes are donation based.
Yin Yoga: A still yoga practiced mostly while sitting, yin holds you in pose for 2-6 minutes while focusing on breathing and stilling the mind. Yin targets the connective tissues and bones, providing a great supplement and balance to the more traditional Yang, or muscle based movements.
Vinyasa: Traditional Indian Hatha poses sequenced together to create fluid movements. Poses are practiced sitting, standing, and reclining. Breathing and inward focus is encouraged.
Yang: The Chinese version of Traditional Indian Hatha Yoga, Yang emphasizes active movements to create heat with a core focus.
Yoga Nidra: Often called "Dream Yoga", Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation practiced while laying on your back in Savasana. Nidra attempts to take you on an relaxing journey into sleep with awareness.
