Football Hall of Fame of Belize cover
Description Unlike most countries around the world where records and statistics are meticulously maintained [especially as it relates to sporting history]; Belize has limited information available in terms of Sports data and statistics.

As such, Belizean football history has been relegated for the most part to recollections and story-telling by parents, older fans and players alike, some of whom can still vividly describe the heroics of their favorite players and teams from back in the glory days.

Some legendary names that will inevitably surface in any Belizean football conversation include the following:

Joe West [Corozal]
Buck Torres [Corozal]
Earvin 'Stud' Hendrics [Orange Walk]
Enrique 'Wico' Carballo [Orange Walk]
Juvencio 'Bud' August [Orange Walk]
Gregsie Jones [Orange Walk]
Elvis 'Cricket' Crawford [Orange Walk]
Wellington Palacio [Orange Walk] [Stann Creek]
Cristobal Mayen [Belize City]
Ricky Gongora [Belize City]
Arturo Leslie [Belize City]
Garrincha Adderly [Stann Creek]
Buck Palacio [Stann Creek]

Some legendary teams that live on in our memory include the Sugar Boys [Orange Walk] Chitos Eleven [Orange Walk] Queens Park Rangers [Belize City] Avengers [Cayo] among others...
