Description As a living history group we get together on a regular basis to share and learn more about local history and in particular the North West Regions Viking past. This includes understanding and appreciating the culture, their music and arts, beliefs and pastimes during the viking age. We get together on a regular basis and enjoy playing traditional board games including Hnefatafl (Viking Chess) whilst talking about future Vikingr campaigns. We have organised and participate in a variety of living history events across the region including Formby's annual Viking Festival (Now in its 6th year), "meet the vikings" and school presentations . During the rest of the year group members can be found playing traditional board games each week in local mead halls!
