Come join us in worship!
10:30 am on Sundays.
Love, Sarah McGuffey
(GCC Worship Ministry Leader)
To bring glory, honor and praise to the Most High God; our Savior, Jesus Christ; and our Guide, the Holy Spirit.
To create and lead our congregation into an atmosphere that welcomes and respects God's presence.
To support the leadership of our Pastor.
The Worship Ministry at GateWay Christian Center is open to people who wish to use their talents for the Lord. We ask that you be a regular attendee, even on Sundays when you are not scheduled to be on the worship team. We long to have worship team members whose hearts are intent on lifting up the name of Jesus, and who also desire to support the congregation and body of Christ as a whole. It is important to the leadership at GateWay to have worship team members who understand the responsibility of leading the congregation into the throne room of the Most High God.
Many times in the Bible we see worship used in war. We believe that our worship at GateWay is not just a weapon, but a true act of warfare against the enemy. (Ps. 8:1-2) Because of this, we feel it very important that anyone seeking a position on the worship team, is actively pursuing a relationship with Jesus, and building up their faith through time in the Word.
While as worship leaders, we do hope for musical excellence, we'd much prefer to know that a team member has a heart for worshipping God instead of a heart to be worshipped. We ask that you please seek the Lord personally on this topic, and ask Him to search your heart for any areas of pride. That is one of the responsibilities we all take on as worship leaders. We each must take time to surrender our gifts, talents, and abilities to Him, and offer them with pure intentions.
The GateWay Worship Ministry meets on the last Saturday of each month at 10am to discuss schedules, rehearse new songs, and pray together.
